According to Red Wings prospects, they are calling up goalie Sebastian Cossa from the Grand Rapids Griffins. It may be as an emergency goalie situation, but could also be to serve as the backup with Alex Lyon playing last night following Mrazek’s injury. Nonetheless, it could also signify that Mrazek may have a significant injury; time will tell with Mrazek. Cossa this season in Grand Rapids is 19-11-5 with a 2.38 goals-against average, a .913 save percentage, and a shutout. He made one appearance with Detroit this season, which came in relief of Ville Husso. Cossa got the win as he stopped 12 of the 14 shots he faced.
